About Maureen Sutton, LMT

Maureen Sutton is a nationally recognized spa director; Licensed Massage Therapist; massage therapy trainer; creator of sound and gem therapies, such as Gandharva Therapy and The Blue Pearl, inspired through a series of meditations; meditation and yoga teacher.
She had the great privilege to be able to undertake specialized training in Panchakarma and the preparation of Ayurvedic herbs and oils at the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurvedic Medicine in Udupi, India and has seen the amazing results of Ayurvedic medicine first hand. She was able to make the rounds with the doctors each day and visit with patients, hear their success stories and their praises for this wonderful health care system. Maureen has been performing Panchakarma for 13 years – over six years as the Spa Director and Lead Therapist at the Chopra Center and the last 7 years at Sanjevani Integrative Medicine Health & Lifestyle Center under the direction of Sunil Pai, M.D. Maureen is currently the Director at Sanjevani Integrative Health and Lifestyle Center.
In addition, she is an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor certified by Dr. David Frawley’s American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Maureen continues the advanced study of Ayurveda with Dr. Bharat Vaidya of Ayurved Sadhana. She is a Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor through the Chopra Center.
To further round out her training in Ayurveda, she has been internationally certified to teach yoga from the YogaLife Foundation (recognized by the Yoga Alliance) under the direction of Sanjeev Bhanot and Yoga Life in Dharmashala, India.
Maureen is also a certified Plant-Based Nutrition Counselor through Cornell University and the T. Colin Campbell Foundation as well as a Food for Life instructor and Educational Alliance Partner through the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) teaching plant-based cooking classes. Maureen Sutton offers one-on-one nutrition guidance toward a healthy plant-based diet that can prevent and reverse most health conditions, using the most up-to-date clinical research on nutrition, foods, herbs, and supplements. She teaches Sanjevani’s patients to read labels and prepare foods appropriately with natural and organic ingredients. Maureen Sutton takes our patients shopping so they can learn these skills in real-time and offers individual one-on-one cooking classes for those who need this service.
Maureen lived, worked, studied and traveled around the world in places such as Spain (where she attended the University of Barcelona studying the language and art), Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia bringing with her the wealth of life and cultural knowledge from her experiences abroad.
